About

A single, transparent view of national research.

ABACUS is the observatory for Greek research output. Built from open data, governed in the open by HEAL-Link, and designed for policymakers, institutions and researchers to use side-by-side.

01

Comprehensive coverage

Every Greek university and public research centre, every publication, dataset and research software linked through the OpenAIRE Graph and the national research repositories.

02

Standardised indicators

A catalogue of 84 indicators across six areas - outputs, impact, openness, funding, collaboration. Each with a published methodology, source trail and review cadence.

03

Transparent & open

Open licences for methods, code and data. Governed by HEAL-Link, the National Consortium of Academic Libraries and its members, with OpenAIRE supplying the research-output graph and safeguarding openness and reproducibility throughout.

Catalogue · 31 indicators

Six areas. One methodology.

Every indicator can be sliced by timeline, field of science, institution, region, publisher, open-access route, etc.
Each view comes with a published methodology, source trail and review cadence.
